Phase Changes This is a great video of a real life phase change right before our eyes. The video is of course sped up but its great to see it happen in real life!

Kinetic Molecular Theory This link is a quick description of the phases of matter and how the particles are arranged and the way they move. Also includes demos of the particles moving.

How Air Pressure Affects You This link is all about air pressure. It is a great resource to help you understand air pressure in simple terms.

Why can boats made of steel float on water when a bar of steel sinks? This is one of the best sites I have found so far. A VERY in-depth site about how heavy objects, like steel boats, can float on the ocean. It also includes a link to a great MythBusters episode about walking on water.

Is There Gravity in Orbit? Have you ever wondered if you are really weightless in orbit. This link covers that, along with many other questions about gravity and orbit. This site is great for kids because it is interactive and includes many cartoons illustrating the idea of orbit and gravity.

Fish anatomy: The Swim Bladder This site covers everything you ever wanted to know about swim bladders. It includes many photographs of swim bladders and also easy to understand diagrams of swim bladders.

Quick Facts On Icebergs This site covers all the FAQs about icebergs. Questions range from "What is an iceberg?" to "Why do scientists study icebergs?" Very simple, easy to understand terminology makes this site a must for anyone interested in icebergs!

Unit 7

"Intelligent Design" Not Accepted by Most Scientists This link is about a school board who was petitioned to include intelligent design along with evolution. Even though the majority of scientists still do not believe in intelligent designit is gaining popularity in textbooks and being presented more often than previously.

Do Miracles Happen Today? This link contains tons of information about miracles including testimonials, historical background, and even describes the proper perspective to recognize miracles. I don't agree with all of it but it is good to read.

dowsing (a.k.a. water witching) This link contains an interesting article about dowsing and covers the basics of dowsing. It also provides a little historical background about dowsing. At the end of the article, it discusses a couple of experiments that were done to see if dowsing really worked under lab conditions.

How To Move Things With Your Mind This article actually discusses how to move things with your mind. It's more of a lesson on how to prepare yourself to move things with your mind, but it still is interesting. I'm pretty skeptical of this and don't believe it's even worth trying, but it's still an interesting read.
