Damage from the 1998 tornado
On March 29, 1998, a series of tornadoes did much damage to
the city of St. Peter and Gustavus Adolphus College. None of the Hendrickson family were hurt, but the
family house sustained damage, and a downtown warehouse and Andreas' car were
destroyed. Things are back to normal, but the summer was spent cleaning and
repairing organs at Gustavus and removing the Hendrickson tracker organ from the
heavily damaged Church of St. Peter.
