A test wireless network named "Test" is available for students in dorm lounge areas, Janzow Campus Center, TLEC mainstreet and Link Library. After connecting to the wireless network the first time, you must register your computer at www.cune.org before you can access the Internet, just as you did for your computer's wired connection. The test wireless network is currently not encrypted. Information sent over the wireless connection is potentially viewable by other wireless devices (but encrypted web pages at shopping sites, banks, credit card companies and so on will be secure). Encrypted connections and other features will become available during the semester as continued enhancements are made to the wireless network. Note that wired connections for student computers are also available in Link Library. Ask a library worker for the locations of the connections. |
